Due to the importance of road tunnel lighting and the high consumption it supports, GIIT has managed to solve the specific needs that characterize this type of facilities.

The entrance requires 150-350 cd / m², depending on the country, the type of tunnel, orientation, speed, etc. With an HID solution, sources of up to 400W were necessary for the entrance area. Currently, the luminous flux of the LEDs can compete with these high power HID sources. However, the ease of adaptation of the LED photometry to the geometry of the tunnel ensures that LED installations achieve the same results with lower energy consumption.

This type of projects are also eligible for financing without counting as public debt.
